The paper scraps

The raw material used in the production of Maculatura Pulp Paper comes from suppliers who collect and classify unusable paper for society, generating income for hundreds of individuals and recycling cooperatives. Furthermore, this paper, which could be deposited in a landfill, generating global liabilities, is being used to add value through its classification and reuse.

Following the FSC® Recycled Pulp certification, our company began to monitor the suppliers' control system, thus ensuring that at least 70% of the shavings used in our products come from post-consumer material, that is, something that society has effectively discarded, and we are reusing it in the form of new, high-quality paper for our customers.

This is a complex chain to manage, as there are several players involved, but we, at the Polpa Papéis team, remain committed to doing everything we can to achieve environmental sustainability.
